WW1 John Dewsbury & Son Ltd on war service badge

A rare original First World War period 'Engaged On Government Work circular gilt badge' inlaid with red and blue enamel to the surround, the centre depicting the united emblems of England, Scotland and Ireland, a Rose, Thistle and Shamrock, mounted with white central title bar 'John Dewsbury & Son Ltd', the reverse impressed with official low number "5". Very good condition, retaining original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, extremely minor stress line to right edge of scroll.
