WW1 National Reserve Orkney Islands home front badge

A rare original First World War period 'National Reserve Orkney gilded brass badge', blue enamel oval title around a representation of the 'Royal Burgh of Kirkwall Coat of Arms' a blue enamel shield depicting a 'Nordic Ship' on white enamel ground, the reverse with maker's details "J.R.Gaunt. London". Very good condition, original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, some minor surface scratches.
