A & AEE RAF Boscombe Down Royal Air Force Badge c1940s

A scarce original King George VI period RAF Boscombe Down Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishmen gilt and enamel badge, depicting an arrow pointing upwards, grasping gauntleted hands to the fore with Latin motto "Probe Probare" (To test properly), the reverse with maker's details "H.W.Miller Ltd B'Ham.18". A stain to the reverse otherwise very good condition, retaining original pin fittings with a good replacement pin, no damage to the enamel.
