Daedalus fundraising badge sold in aid of RAF and WRAF disabled c1940s

A scarce original circa 1940's Royal Air Force fund raising chromium plated badge in the form of 'Daedalus' of Greek mythology and meaning 'Clever Worker'. The winged figure suspended from a pretty bow is on its original display card and contained in a cardboard box with details to the lid 'Sold in Aid of the Home Employment of R.A.F. and W.R.A.F. Disabled' ''Daedalus' 'Made in Great Britain'. Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, some loss to the chromium plating on the bow and some water staining to the box.
