Ilford Emergency Hospital nurses badge

A scarce pre 1929 'Ilford Emergency Hospital nurses gilt and enamel badge', the reverse engraved with the numeral "9". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel without damage, gilt remains bright.
Diameter 31mm.

Ilford Emergency Hospital was founded in 1910 and was located in Abbey Lane, Ilford. It change to its present name of 'King George Hospital' in 1929.
