British Red Cross Society Pharmacist Technical Badge

A rare early example of a 'British Red Cross Society Technical Badge' with 'Pharmacist' bar, the reverse with very low official issue number "540" and inscribed "B.J. Lusby.". Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon, title bar and gilt buckle suspension with pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.

The British Red Cross Society Technical badges were instituted in 1914 and were eligible to members of the Voluntary Aid Detachments with professional qualifications, they were discontinued in the mid 1960's.
