WW2 Canteen British Columbia War Services Badge
A rare late Second World War period gilt and enamel Canteen British Columbia War Services badge, the reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Ltd. Regent St. Birmingham". Very good condition, complete with original ribbon and suspension bar with pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.

The British Columbia Services Canteen was based at British Columbia House, Lower Regent Street, London. It opened on December 23 1939 its aim was to make Canadian Servicemen feel at home in England with food and coffee served the Canadian way. The canteen served its last meal on January 14 1946.
