Amy Wonderful Amy song sheet music promotional badge c1930s

A rare gilt badge with green enamel, the reverse with maker's details "Miller 118 Branston St B'Ham" and "RGD 755555". Good condition, original pin fittings, some damage to the enamel above "M" and stress marks.

In 1930 Amy Johnson became the first woman to fly solo from Croydon South of London to Darwin Australia, flying her "Jason" Gipsy Moth aeroplane, these badges were sold as commemorative souvenirs, also given away with the song sheet, of the very popular tune at that time "Amy Wonderful Amy".
