City Hospital Lodge Road Birmingham pair of nurses badges & photograph

An important historical pair of badges and photograph, the first a 'City Hospital Birmingham large bronzed nurses badge', the obverse depicting in relief "The Lady With The Lamp" Florence Nightingale with Latin motto "Nunquam Non Paratus" (Never Unprepared), the reverse engraved "City Hospital. Lodge Road, Birmingham". Good condition, original pin fitting old replacement hook.
Height 59mm.
Accompanied by a silver and enamel badge with corresponding initials, but with additional letters below "N.S.C." presumably Nursing Sick Children, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1922 and maker's details "J.A.R" (J.A.Restall & Co Birmingham). Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.

Together with these badges a very large detailed photograph of a children's ward taken by H.J.Whitlock, 11 New St, Birmingham.
