WW1 Royal Navy Submarine Boat scratch-built brass ornament

A well made wartime period brass ornament, scratch-built one-off example skillfully made in the form of a First World War submarine from whatever materials were to hand at the time, raised on brass base complemented to each corner with a steel shrapnel ball.
Length approx 230mm.

A superb quality Interwar period heavy weight bronze desk ornament, modelled in fine detail on the style of a British Army 'Vickers Medium Mark II Tank'; the turret opens by a push down catch attached to the gun barrel to reveal a cedar wood lined box, which would suggest it was designed possibly for cigarettes.
